If you're
experiencing difficulty with your Propaganda software, you may be able to
find an answer in our FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions).

When you place your order, you will receive links
to download Propaganda two different ways: On the order confirmation
page and in the confirmation email.
We recommend the web install because it is the
fastest way to get Propaganda on your machine. To use the web install,
do the following:
1) Click on the link for the web install. When you
do you should see this window:

Choose Run to start the installation.
If you are using the link from the
confirmation email and you don't get this window or get an error,
try copying the link directly into the address bar of Internet
Explorer.
For example, the download link should look
something like this:
https://secure.Propaganda.com/payment/download.asp?
fid=40727&dKey=6tKXhl0TDxVJRDGs14CDtkBJhbIixWnde48tV1V98PXJi6
Since this link is more than one line, your
email program may cut off part of the link. In your email program,
highlight the entire link and select Copy from the Edit menu. Open
Internet Explorer, click on the address bar, and select Paste from
the Edit menu. Finally, press Enter.
2) After a few seconds, you should see this
window:

Click Run to continue the installation.
3) The remainder of the installation is the same
as most other applications. Follow the prompts and click Next.
If you have any trouble with the installation,
please contact us using the lost
keys form.
We are more than happy to provide you with another

Customers who purchased Propaganda 6 are
entitled to upgrade to the latest build at no charge.
The demo version can't be unlocked or converted
into the full version. You need to obtain the full version of Propaganda which is a separate download, and not publicly available on our
website. Upon placing your order, you should have received download
links for the full version of Propaganda. Please use our
product request form and
we'll send you instructions on downloading the software.
We are aware of some technical
issues when running Propaganda on Vista, particularly during application
load time. This issue affects Propaganda versions 1.2.1 and
earlier. This issue has been fixed in later versions 1.3 and
higher. Please check
the software update page for
Propaganda to see if a newer version exists for you to download.
In order to mix music with Propaganda, you
need to put your audio files on your computer's hard drive, in a format
Propaganda understands. Propaganda supports MP3, WAV, and WMA (without
copy protection).
If you have CDs you want to use with Propaganda,
the first step is to convert (or rip) your CDs. If you are using Windows
XP, you can use the included Windows Media Player for this purpose:
- Place one of your music CDs into your
computer's CD-ROM drive.
- Open Windows Media Player
- Press the Copy from CD tab
- Click the Copy Music button.
- If you are asked if you want copy protection,
choose No.
- Once the copy is complete, take note of where
the music files are. The default is WMA format in the My Music
folder.
- Open Propaganda.
- Click the Add Files button and select the
folder where you just created the music files.
Propaganda does not directly support the music you
buy from the iTunes Music Store or Napster. These files are in a
protected format that other applications are not allowed to read.
However, if you have ability to burn your music to CD, you can transfer
the tracks from CD back to the computer in an unprotected format for use
in Propaganda.
This is Propaganda's way of saying that it could
not accurately read the file. While this same file may play just fine in
WinAmp, Propaganda is a little more demanding about reliable playback.
Try rebuilding the MP3 file again and reimport it
into Propaganda. If the source is not available, try converting the file
to WAV format and then back to MP3. You can use Music Match (www.musicmatch.com)
for this purpose.
On the new machine, make sure that you first
import all the relevant songs into the catalog. Then, when you load the
playlist, Propaganda will be able to find the appropriate songs without
asking.
Propaganda can only import WMA files that do not
use security features. If you are using Windows Media Player to convert
your CDs into WMA files, make sure that switch off the "Protect Content"
option. Look in the Tools, Options window in the Copy Music section.
Propaganda may not be able to play WMA files that you purchase online.
If these files use security features, Propaganda does not have the
ability to read them.
